What are some good pointe-preparation execises?!?

What are some really good pointe exercises? i want to prepare my ankles and legs and toes as much as possible! I do go to ballet class, and instead of taking 3 years to get to the level I am at, it%26#039;s taken about 1 year, so i am pretty good! I told my teacher I want to do pointe and such, but it will take 3 or so years. What are some things i can do in the meantime to strengthen my legs (like ALL of my legs like thighs, calves, ankles, toes)?

I am 13 and am taking ballet, and have for 3 or 4 years now.

Please post videos or exercises and how long to do them. THANKS

Do a lot of plies and releves. Stand with your legs straight, and rise up to demi pointe. Do this 20 times on each leg. Therabands are also great to straighten ankles. I%26#039;m starting ballet in September, so these are the exercises I%26#039;m doing everyday. Good luck and have fun!!

P.S. I%26#039;m kinda quiet too lol=)

ive been on pointes for a year now and now im 14.Iv%26#039;e studied ballet since i was 3.I found doing lots of rises in first on demi pointe make sure you try and stetch your toes out flat and then do some plie to stetch out.THere are lots of good videos on youtube and expert village to strengthen your feet for pointes.
Reply:I am 13 and have been on pointe for a year now. You really need to do A TON of releves and roll outs. and do the releves on one leg once u build up some strength. i would do like 20-30 on each leg and about 30 with both legs.
Reply:practice doing relieves (that snatching action), rises (going through the shoes and every part of the foot, and 脡chapp茅 (the escape action). these are the basic steps and they will not only strenthen your feet but they will also help you get used to dancing on pointe. practice your relieves and rises on one leg and both for best results. happy dancing =)
Reply:just put on your shoes and try to get in some practice. but be sure to stay next to something you can hold onto in case you slip. don%26#039;t try to go too fast though because you don%26#039;t want to hurt yourself.
